Boys of Brayshaw High by Meagan Brandy

BOYS OF BRAYSHAW HIGH (BRAYSHAW HIGH #1)

4.5 STARS

Synopsis from Goodreads:

"Girls like you aren't exactly welcomed at a place like this, so keep your head down and look the other way."

Those were the exact words of my social worker when she dropped me in my newest hellhole, a place for "troubled teens".

I didn't listen, and now I'm on their radar.

They expect me to play along in their games of hierarchy, to fall in line in the social order they've deemed me fit.

Too bad for them, I don't follow rules.
Too bad for me, they're determined to make sure I do.

Inconceivably attractive and treated like kings...these are the boys of Brayshaw High.

And I'm the girl who got in their way.

This was the second book I read from Meagan Brandy, and boy it didn't disappoint. When I read the synopsis my first thought was "this isn't my type of book"...but holy cannoli was I wrong! This book sucked me in right away. I'm not going to lie I read the entire first three books in a matter of 2 days and I didn't sleep. The story was addictive and so much WTF is happening. It was the ultimate roller coaster and I was legit hooked. I am sorry for all of my fellow bloggers for doubting you. It won't happen again. My only regret is that it took me so long to read this. I will undoubtedly reread this series right before the 5th installment in released this fall. Book 2 & 3 were incredible, but book 4 was my absolute favorite. I will be writing another post dedicated strictly to Captain...but for NOW back to Raven and Maddox. What can I even say about this one?? It was honestly hauntingly beautiful. So much damage and so much love. All of the things. Standouts:
The cabin Scene
Graven
WTF Raven's mom is a psycho bitch
Raven you are a badass
Maddox I love you
My advice...clear your calendar to binge this series because I'm in love. Also buy all the wine, because the only thing that will make this book hangover better is alcohol.
Also Book 3 Cover Art is FIRE. That is all.

Meghan Quinn's new one!! Cover Reveal

THE MODERN GENTLEMAN by Meghan Quinn
Release Date: May 14th
Genre: Contemporary Romance
PRE ORDER HERE:     Kindle of The Modern Gentleman

Synopsis from Kindle:

Have you ever hit rock bottom?

I embarrassingly have.

It’s why I’m wearing my girl's decorative scarf over my head, clutching her lady drink to my chest, and singing ever so softly to Joni Mitchell while swaying back and forth.

This is what therapists refer to as LOSING IT.

Oldest story in the book: boy meets girl, boy falls for girl, boy screws up MASSIVELY, girl tells boy to suffocate in the fruits of his very own unborn children.

Heard it before? I'm sure you have.

So what's so different about this story? Well, it's about me, The Modern Gentleman, New York City's top advice columnist, and my rather ungraceful downfall from my pristinly polished pedestal.

It's about a girl I met who threw all my proven theories to the wind and left me awkward, needy, and absolutely head-over-wing-tipped shoes in love.

This is a story about June Lacy and how she single-handedly dismantled The Modern Gentleman.

51794298. sy475 Synopsis from Goodreads:

A Friends to Lovers Romance

I was nine when I befriended him.
Seventeen when I kissed him.
And eighteen when I threw all dirty thoughts about him in the trash.

Vincent Turner is my bad boy best friend.
I’ve never said no to him.
Even when he asked to copy my homework in high school.
Even when he asked me to be his wing woman.
I’ve seen his girlfriends come and leave.
He’s brought me ice cream after my heartbreaks.
And then it all goes to sh*t.

His filthy rich parents find him a doll to marry.
And he asks me to be his wedding planner.

That eleven-year-old kiss is starting to haunt me.
I’d rather be his wife, not his damn wedding planner.
I’ve never said no to Vincent Turner.
You think now might be a good time to start?

This was my first book from Summer Brooks and it was as adorable as the cover itself. Do you remember people telling us as kids not to judge a book by its cover? Maybe that was because book covers weren't this adorable in the 90's. If you are looking for a cute, fast read, with a side of steamy. This will do. It is also available on Kindle Unlimited.

COVER REVEAL!!!

R.S. Grey’s new standalone romance, Love the One You Hate is coming May 7th! Check out the gorgeous cover and find out more today!

About Love the One You Hate (Available May 7th)

Nicholas Hunt is the man I hate. For good reason.   His opinion of me is tainted by prejudice even before my arrival at his grandmother’s estate, and my first impression of him is just as abysmal.   His arrogance and icy demeanor make it clear that he’s the type of man who’s best handled at a distance.   Fortunately, space shouldn’t be an issue inside this Gilded Age mansion and its lush gardens. If I stick with the servants and he keeps to his sailboat and vintage Porsche, we should hardly cross paths at all. Unfortunately, at Rosethorn, I find that all roads eventually lead to Nicholas Hunt.   Sparks fly as we spar at the dinner table. Fighting words are flung in the shadows of the palatial halls.   We hang suspended in our hatred of one another, painfully oblivious to the heat and tension that build with every moment we’re left alone. We’re liable to kill one another, I think…right up until my eyes land on his lips and a new feeling grips hold of me: lust.   What’s worse? He knows it.   They say you should keep your enemies close, but when Nicholas tightens his grip on my waist and draws me near, I’m not sure if it’s out of loathing or love.   One thing’s for sure—I intend to find out.

Parker Airlines is ready to fly you away to beautiful beaches and exotic green rain-forests. Download Take Me Anywhere and enjoy your flight.

I really connected with this story! I enjoyed the first book, but this one went above and beyond my expectations!  I connected with Ali. I loved her character development throughout the book. I also enjoyed the parallel of her with Jack's wife. Warren was a fun character as well. I didn't really see much in the first book of him, but I was happy that this story followed him. This was a quick read so if you have a couple of days, you should be able to enjoy it. I am looking forward to see how this tight-nit family develops over the course of this series. Ladies...Thank you for sharing this book with me!

Spin-off Series after Bro Code from Pippa Grant

MASTER BAKER BY: PIPPA GRANT

4 STARS

Master BakerSynopsis from Goodreads:

He's a master baker with a big...cannoli.

They call me the sugar whisperer.

Anything your tongue desires, I can bake it. Scones? Child’s play. Cupcakes? I’ll frost them so good you won’t know what hit you. Donuts? Please.

You’re talking to a master baker.

But there’s one egg I’ve never been able to crack.

My best friend.

Correction: My former best friend.

She’s the apple in my pie. The whip in my cream. The lemon in my meringue. The wish in my bone.

She’s the one who got away.

After ten years in the military, she’s back. She’s bruised and battered by life, but she’s back.

Except she’s not my second chance. She’s gone to the dark side.

Running a rival bakery in a town not big enough for two.

So now I have to decide—which do I want more?

My bakery?

Or the woman I never should’ve let go of in the first place?

Master Baker is a deliciously fun friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy featuring a smooth-talking baker, the one who got away, and a goat with more matchmaking tendencies than a nosy old grandpa. It stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers.

This Book was more intriguing to me after I read the Bro Code series and Grady made an appearance in the first book. I really enjoyed Grady's story. It was adorable.

Billionaire Bad Boys Book One: Tapping the Billionaire by: Max Monroe

TAPPING THE BILLIONAIRE BY MAX MONROE

4.5 STARS

Tapping the Billionaire (Billionaire Bad Boys, #1)Synopsis from Goodreads:

Blind dates? Online dating profiles? Been there, done that.

Georgia Cummings has zero luck with dating, and the era of the internet is not her friend.
No matter how fast she runs, how many corners she turns, she can’t find her way out of this weird, alternate universe where men think d*ck pics are a replacement for small talk and getting to know a girl. One more crotch selfie and she might write men off for good…

But why can’t she stop fantasizing about him?

Kline Brooks is the quintessential billionaire bad boy—dark, styled, short hair, muscles for days, and a panty-dropping smile.
Except—he isn’t.

As his employee, he won’t touch her with a ten foot pole.
But she won’t touch him either.

Too bad their hormones missed the memo.

Disclaimer:
If you’re the type of woman who prefers crotch selfies to small talk, this book isn’t for you.

If you enjoy random men you’ve never met filling up your inbox with dirty words and p*rn—for reasons focused more towards diddling your donut than laughing at the absurdity—this book isn’t for you.

If you HATE laughing, this book isn’t for you.

If you want your male leads to grunt, thrust like jack rabbits, and have one-track minds that prefer a nice pair of t*ts to brains every hour of every day for the rest of forever, well, then, this book still isn’t for you.

But.

If you enjoy a good swoon, a hearty laugh, witty banter, and some hot as f*@% f*@%ing, then consider Georgia Cummings your Girl Friday and Kline Brooks your next irresistible book boyfriend.

The disclaimer for this book...100% spot on! This is the book that made me fall in love with Max & Monroe's dynamic writing style. Do not start this book unless you have a free week or two...because once you start reading the series you will continue to stay up past your bedtime reading them. And as far as the mounds of coffee I had to drink to get me through the days only to get a second wind and finish the next book...totally worth it!

This is a series of interconnected romantic comedy standalones.

Suggested Series Reading order:
#1 Tapping the Billionaire
#1.5 Tapping Her
#2 Banking the Billionaire
#2.5 Banking Her
#3 Scoring the Billionaire
#3.5 Scoring Her
